This weekend why not take an expert 50 minute guided tour of Hornsey Town Hall? The tour is hosted by Paul and Oonagh of Crouch End Walks and it should be a fascinating experience for Crouchenders.
When the Twentieth Century Society came to visit Hornsey Town Hall, the members agreed it was an amazing building. It won awards when it was first built. These days it’s a bit frayed around the edges, but still has all its original features.
Hardly used for 15 years it’s now opening its doors to the public with a community project, Hornsey Town Hall Arts Centre. This is a fantastic chance to see the hidden treasures of 1930s modernism, and discover the history of Hornsey’s iconic HQ and Assembly Room.
