Last Monday night, Downstairs at the Kings Head in Crouch End was the venue for a glittering showbiz tribute to comedian Sean Hughes.
A galaxy of TV A-listers including former Dr Who stars Peter Capaldi and Peter Davison, comedian Johnny Vegas and League of Gentlemen star Reece Shearsmith led the line-up for a sell-out memorial gig.
Last Leg host Adam Hills compered the show, in which performers read poetry and prose written by the late comedian, who died last October at the age of 51.
Also taking part in the intimate gig were comics Terry Alderton, Dave Cohen and Dave Fulton as well as actors Caroline Harker, Connie Hyde and Blair Plant, who all co-starred on stage with Hughes in The Railway Children.
Proceeds from the show went to a number of charities that Hughes supported.
