Girl seriously injured after Crouch End hit and run

Ham&High reports

Police are appealing for witnesses following a hit and run incident in Tottenham Lane last week.

24 year old Samantha Harris was crossing the road at 6.45pm on Friday when a black car drove into her, forcing her up onto the bonnet and over the car before hitting the ground.

YMCA staff called paramedics who took Miss Harris to the Whittington Hospital where she arrived in a critical condition and was admitted to intensive care.

According to Ms Harris’s mother, no one stopped to help her daughter, who remembers being hit and regaining consciousness in the middle of the road.

No arrests have been made. Enquiries are continuing. Any Crouchenders who witnessed the incident are asked to call police on 101, Tweet @MetCC or phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
